The organisms (bacteria, viruses or parasites) that cause sexually transmitted diseases may pass from person to person in blood, semen, or vaginal and other body fluids.
-Unprotected sex (without condom) is the easiest way to get HIV and other STI’s.
– Just like HIV, STIs may not show any signs and you may not know you are infected.
-Having an STI makes it much easier to get infected with HIV, or to spread HIV to others.
-If someone is HIV positive and they get an STI, the HIV can progress quickly to AIDS.
