Strengthening Partnerships: Deputy Canadian High Commission Visits MAAYGO

MAAYGO was privileged to host the Deputy Canadian High Commission at both our Mlimani Clinic and Migosi DICE centers. This visit provided an opportunity to share our work, highlight community challenges, and explore ways to strengthen impact through collaboration and support.

During the visit, MAAYGO teams presented the HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and SRHR services offered at our facilities. The tour highlighted how peer-led approaches and community-centered care are helping to break stigma and increase access to life-saving services.

The Deputy Canadian High Commission engaged directly with staff and community representatives, listening to experiences and challenges faced by key and vulnerable populations. These candid conversations underscored the urgent need for inclusive health systems that protect dignity and advance human rights.

The visit reaffirmed the importance of international partnerships in addressing health and rights challenges. By working together, MAAYGO and partners can scale up successful models, expand reach, and ensure stronger, more resilient communities.

Engagements like this reinforce MAAYGO’s commitment to advancing health, rights, and dignity for all. With continued collaboration and support, we can build a future where every person has access to inclusive, stigma-free services.
