# MAAYGO — Mission for Advocacy & Advisory for Young Generations

> MAAYGO is a non-profit based in Kisumu, Kenya that empowers Sexual and Gender Diverse Minority (SGDM) communities through HIV and sexual & reproductive health (SRHR) services, human rights advocacy, mental health and gender-based violence (GBV) support, and climate justice. Tagline: "A healthy, just & socially inclusive community."

MAAYGO works directly with SGDM and key-population communities in Kisumu County and across Western Kenya. Its seven mandate areas are: health services (HIV & SRHR), advocacy & policy, mental health & GBV, knowledge & evidence, capacity & partnerships, inclusive governance, and climate justice.

Headline results reported by MAAYGO: 1,604 gender diverse individuals reached with HIV & SRHR services with a 99% viral suppression rate; 400+ violence cases addressed with legal, medical and psychosocial support; 295+ state and non-state actors sensitized; 118+ individuals supported with mental-health counselling and safe spaces.

MAAYGO publishes quarter-by-quarter HIV prevention and treatment results for Kisumu (programme period Jul 2024 – Jun 2027) on its Our Impact page, updated monthly from its Quarterly Performance Monitoring Matrix.
