Promoting Digital Safety and Cybersecurity

The internet can empower, connect, and create opportunities, but it can also expose communities to serious risks. MAAYGO, in collaboration with CWS Church World Service, held an interactive session focused on cybercrime, Technology Facilitated Gender Based Violence and cybersecurity.

The session explored real online threats, their impact on vulnerable communities, and practical ways to stay safe in an increasingly digital world. Participants engaged in discussions on recognising online risks, protecting personal information, responding to digital abuse, and strengthening their cybersecurity practices.

Creating safer digital spaces starts with awareness, knowledge, and the confidence to take action.
